AM-Comp Quads (M, L) - Apex
The AM outlines are a tried and tested performance template with the competitive surfer in mind. There’s a fair bit of bio-mimicry in the outline; looks a lot like the caudal fins of some of the faster, more agile fish in our Oceans. How does that translate to surfing? The wide base provides increased drive off the bottom while the raked back profile and refined tip offers a balance of control and release off the top.
Classically ridden as thrusters, we and many customers have found they’re a fun outline for quad setups as well. When we decided to start testing trailers that followed the same design sensibilities years ago, we weren’t sure how they would work. Initially we were actually fairly skeptical. Turns out they’re kind of magic; far more popular than we could have imaged #NeverStopExperimenting #RideDifferent
We opted to make the trailers with 80/20 foiling to “soften them up” a little and make sure they would feel more fluid in boards.

We're releasing the AMC quad fins in our Apex Series construction; made with a solid piece of precision foiled G10 fiberglass for the ultimate in performance and durability. The combination of highly durable material and precision foiling yield a fin that is stronger and has a more ideal flex pattern than your traditional honeycomb or composite fins.
G10 is made by compressing layers of fiberglass and epoxy resin and baking it an autoclave to have the maximum strength of any fiberglass available. Learn more about the NVS Apex Series fins here.
